Puerto Rico ATV Rentals

ATV and Side-by-side adventures are the most popular excursion we offer mostly because it is a fun, relatively quick (One and Two hour options), family-friendly way to explore El Yunque Rainforest; the only rainforest in the US Parks system. From the beautiful landscapes, the incredible vegetation, and all the different wildlife you can encounter, you and your group are sure to have a great time!

Make a Reservation

You can choose to be a driver or a passenger. All drivers are required to be at least sixteen years old and possess a diver’s license. When creating the reservation, you will have the choice to book either a one-hour or a two-hour excursion. We will reach out to you once your reservation request has been made and let you know the times and days that are available. The tours usually begin punctually (which is not always the case in Puerto Rico )be sure your group can arrive before your time slot. Tours tend to be full weeks in advance, if you miss your time slot it is very unlikely that you will be able to reschedule during your vacation.

This adventure can usually accommodate larger groups of people. The larger the group the further in advance reservations should be made. If interested in the two-hour tour and/or are traveling with a group we strongly suggest booking as soon as possible to secure spaces and to have the most choices for time slots. This is especially true if planning to visit during peak times (Spring Break, Holidays, Passover/Easter, Summer, and Christmas/New Year’s, etc.). Returning guests tend to make reservations over a year in advance!

What to wear/bring

A towel, comfortable clothing, a swimsuit (if you would like to swim in the river), closed toe shoes, a waterproof bag for personal items, sunglasses, sun protection, drinking water, and a snack. It is best if you bring a small backpack where all of your belongings fit.

Transportation

There are several ways to arrive at Carabali Rainforest Park:

First option is arriving by personal vehicle. Most visitors that choose to rent cars do so from the San Juan airport and the surrounding areas. This is usually the most cost-effective option for smaller groups, however many can attest that driving in Puerto Rico can be challenging. Many rental companies require additional insurance and also encourage purchasing the toll package, we recommend researching where you are going, reading recent reviews, and the fine print before reserving a vehicles to ensure a better rental experience. Some of the roads in Puerto Rico have large potholes that can cause severe damage if the driver in unaware/unprepared.

Second option arriving with private transportation. Many of our guests choose to utilize our private rideservice. Our driver’s have a selection of vehicle makes and sizes to accommodate to your preferences. Our driver’s are screen, licensed, insured, and have been moving people around the island on our behalf for almost a decade.

Third Option rideshare and taxi services. There are taxis and rideshare options in Puerto Rico. Guests can sometimes find taxis at the resort, however we recommend calling ahead to confirm availability.  If utilizing this option we STRONGLY recommend ordering it 15-30 minutes earlier, especially if you are staying in one of the Mansions. Drivers have gotten lost in the resort and guests have arrived late to their reservations as a result.

Arrival

Visitors arrive at the Carabali Rainforest Park, located on the North East end of the island, Just north of El Yunque National Rainforest. You will be greeted by the staff and they will go over safety to ensure all driver’s and passengers can ride safely (why we encourage planning to arrive early).

Experience

Ride safely along trails lead by experienced guides as you learn about the flora and fauna of the rainforest. Most groups even have an opportunity to swim in the Mameyes River that comes directly from El Yunque.

Allow the breathtaking sights, smells, and sounds of the Atlantic Ocean and El Yunque rainforest create unforgettable memories with your family and friends.
